About the Event
Leading a gong bath, just like playing the gong, is an intuitive practice. However, it's also a great responsibility and there are several considerations to be aware of before facilitating a public gong meditation session. Join this training to learn about these considerations and be on your way to host your very first session.
This training will cover the following topics:
• Setting the Intention
• Creating a Welcoming Space
• Introducing the Gong Bath
• Disclaimers & contraindications
• Guided Meditation Practices
• Creating a Sound Journey
• Closing the Gong Bath
• Before & After Participant Care
BONUS: You will also have the opportunity to facilitate a free gong bath for your friends & family in the GONG studio!
Note About GONG Training:
The training programme offered by GONG is divided into two parts, both of which include theory and practice. This ticket is for the second part, which is designed for those who already have experience playing gong and want to learn to facilitate gong baths. The first part which is held separately (August 17-18) introduces you to the history, theory and science of gong meditation, and includes an overview of playing techniques as well as playing time with our gongs. You will also receive individual advice on what kind of gong to purchase if you are interested in buying one for yourself.
Combined, Parts 1 and 2 are a first step towards qualifying to deliver gong baths at the GONG studio, or to incorporating gong meditation into your personal and business activities. However you can choose to attend only one of the Parts depending on your interests and level of experience. Don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions or to discuss which training programme is right for you.
Includes weekend course, 1.5 hours of additional practice time and the opportunity to host a gong bath for your family and friends which you can book by appointment. Concessions can be offered to students in hardship or if you wish to forego the additional practice time and gong bath option.
