Gong Bath & Tea

Thursday, 30th March | 7pm | 9 Short's Gardens London WC2H

If you've ever been to a sound bath, you'll know that it makes you feel really good in almost inexplicable ways. Sound and vibration can work wonders to melt away tension and leave you feeling supremely relaxed, calm and renewed. But if you're reading this, then you might never have experienced a sound bath for yourself. Or maybe you have, but you want to know what will happen if you keep going back.

Selma Studer, founder of GONG, will be leading a gong sound journey in Kati Kaia's private basement studio in the heart of Coven Garden. This is an incredible opportunity to enjoy the energy shifting soundscapes while lying on a piece of art - Kati Kaia's yoga mats feature uniquely painted original artworks to inspire you and help you connect deeply with your energy lines and human fire within.

Join us for an evening of deep relaxation, followed by refreshments and tea.

What should I bring?

Mats are provided, but we suggest bringing a blanket and wearing a warm jumper.

How long is the session?

The gong bath itself will start promptly at the 7pm GMT and last 60 minutes. You are welcome to stay for tea afterwards.

Where does this gong bath take place?

This gong bath will be held in Kati Kaia's pop-up shop in the Seven Dials Neighborhood of Covent Garden  9-11 Shorts Gardens, London, WC2H 9AT.

Is there anyone gong baths are not suitable for?

Gong baths are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, anyone who suffers from fits (epileptics), or anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy due to the unstable nature of pregnancy during that time. If you wear a hearing aid, your device should be turned off during the session. If you have any concerns, please speak with your doctor in advance.

Who will be leading the session?

Selma Studer is a certified sound therapist and Founder of GONG. After 10+ years in the corporate world, Selma decided to follow her passion for wellness and help people do something about the stress and anxiety that impacts so many lives. She experienced her first ‘gong bath’ on a yoga retreat in Thailand and quickly realized the practice was just as needed in an urban setting. That led her to open a dedicated studio in Central London and to work with organizations to introduce meditative sound experiences to the workplace so that more people can benefit from this powerful technique. Selma has since guided more than 5,500 individuals through 800+ gong baths in person and online.
